[MANUSCRITS]. WEISS (Louise). Collection of pastry recipes. Baden-Baden, Filiale der Grossherzogin Luise Haushaltungsschule, 1910. Autograph manuscript. In-8 square, grey half-percaline with corners. Manuscript collection of pastry recipes by the journalist, feminist, author and politician Louise Weiss (1893-1983), then aged seventeen and living in Lorraine. Her father, unfavourable to the education of girls, had sent her to the Grand Duchess Louise's housekeeping school in Baden-Baden (see Louise Weiss, Une petite fille du siècle, 1893-1919, p. 95 ff). The recipes are written in French and German. Worn paper boards, corners worn, loss of percaline at top of spine.
