PICON (Guillaume). Versailles. La Révolution gastronomique [French version]. Paris, Éditions Dilecta, 2023. In-4 bound in full black cloth, 400 pp. + 5 offprints, in slipcase. Edition of 900 copies, this one of 400 in French (no. 5). The 5 offprints reproduce engravings, one for each century analysed in the body of the book, the last offprint featuring a work by contemporary artist Philippe Cognée. This publication, written by historian Guillaume Picon, was made possible by Jean-Maurice Sacré's valuable collection of historical menus and the collaboration of Nicolas Kenedi, Permanent Secretary of the Académie des Gastronomes.
